What We Believe

At Rose of Sharon, we believe in the love, grace, and truth of God, who created all people in His image and loves each of us deeply. We believe that God sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to live among us, showing us the way to live and drawing us closer to God. Through Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection, we find forgiveness, purpose, and eternal hope.

We believe the Bible is God’s inspired Word, offering us wisdom, encouragement, and guidance for every season of life. It teaches us to love God with all our heart, mind, and soul and to love our neighbors as ourselves. Through the Holy Spirit, God works within and around us, transforming our lives to reflect His goodness and mercy.

We believe the Church is a community—a family—called to support, uplift, and journey together in faith. We are committed to serving our community, growing in knowledge and faith, and sharing God’s love with the world. We invite everyone, no matter their background or where they are on their spiritual journey, to join us as we seek to know God more and serve His purposes together.

We are committed to being a Biblical church with Elders and Deacons, and congregational voting, in which no person, but Christ is over the congregation.

Our Commitment to Inclusion and Diversity and Rejection of MAGA Extremism.

At Rose of Sharon, we are committed to creating a community that reflects the beauty and diversity of God’s creation. We welcome people of all backgrounds, ages, races, ethnicities, and identities, believing that each person is made in the image of God and brings unique value to our church family. We celebrate diversity as an expression of God’s love, and we strive to cultivate a space where everyone feels respected, seen, and supported. Our goal is to foster an inclusive environment where every voice is heard, every story is valued, and everyone has the opportunity to grow in faith, contribute their gifts, and feel fully embraced as part of our community.

At Rose of Sharon, we also stand firmly as an anti-MAGA extremism church, committed to confronting ideologies and practices rooted in bigotry, lawlessness, and injustice as expounded in the MAGA political movement led by Donald Trump. We reject any movements that seek to divide, oppress, or marginalize others based on race, nationality, gender, or belief. As followers of Christ, we are called to uphold the values of love, compassion, and unity, and we believe that no one should be excluded or dehumanized. Through the sincere and earnest preaching of scripture, we seek to expose and challenge the destructive forces of extremism, and instead, we lift up Christ’s call to love our neighbors as ourselves, to seek justice, and to work for the common good of all people.
